Wednesdays are a busy day at OSEL, so if you want some time to just get homework, get to confirmation or high school group early, join us for H2. - Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:15-7:30pm. Grades 9-12. We will be gathering every Wednesday night at R&R (Renew and Restore) from 6:15-7:30pm. The majority of our time will be looking at a few movies and short videos to help guide our time for our high school bible study/ discussion. Each movie or clip will bring up human topics that we have an understanding about, and need to see how God’s love and life speak to the joy and the sorrow that is life.
- Coffeehouse
- Wednesday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm in the Youth Center. Grades 7-12. After Confirmation and High School discussion/bible study/ devotion time, join us downstairs in the Youth Center for Coffeehouse. Some nights we might play a few games, we might sing some songs, or we might just hang out with friends! Go downstairs after R&R and see!! We’ll meet from 7:30-8:30pm.
- Creation Team
- Second Wednesday of the month from 7:30-8:30pm in the Youth Center (during Coffeehouse)! Grades 9-12. As we continue to transition in youth and family ministry, we need high school youth that want to be creators of the future ministry at Our Saviour’s. We will only accept up to 10 youth for the year who would like to participate. It is a mix between learning how to be a better leader, learning how to plan events and activities, inviting friends and spreading the word about upcoming activities, and trying out your leadership skills in our faith community!
- Lenten Coffeehouse
-
Wednesday evenings during Lent from 5:45-6:45pm in the Youth Center. Grades 7-12.
Starting on Ash Wednesday, and throughout the Lenten season, 7-12th grade students are invited to Coffeehouse prior to Lenten worship services. It will be a time to spend together as well as give confirmation students a time to learn more about how to come up with their faith statements, and high school students a time to share their faith statements.
We will gather for dinner at the Lenten Supper at 5:45pm and from 6:15-6:45 the Coffeehouse will be open in the Youth Center.
*Note: Lenten Coffeehouse will begin for Lent 2012, with Ash Wednesday on February 22, and conclude the week before Holy Week.
- SERVE the Lord!
- Go in peace, serve the Lord! Let’s serve God by serving our neighbors, community, and people around the world. About twice a month all youth (middle school and high school), adult leaders, and families are invited to participate in service right after worship on Sunday morning. The programming will be geared toward youth 7-12th grade, but families with all ages are invited. Stay up to date via the Messenger, email updates, as well as announcements at worship!
